Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation (DOAMF)
Prof. Chukwu is the current Dean of Post-Graduate School, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a doctorate degree in Ecosystem Health and Pollution Management from the University of Lagos and a post-doctoral training in Integrated Coastal Management from the Coastal Resources Institute, University of Rhode Island, USA.
Chukwu is well published and has over twenty years lecturing experience. He has been a Consultant to many national and international agencies including the Federal Ministry of Environment where he has participated in various aspects of Environmental Impact Assessment Studies (EIA). He has been Project/Team Leader in several EIA Studies in line with World Bank Guidelines and IFC Performance Standards in Aviation, Infrastructure, Ports and Harbours and the Oil and Gas subsector.
He was a Member, Environmental Impact Study Group on Nationally Coordinated Research Programme (NCRP), a World Bank funded National Agricultural Research Project (NARP); Member, Expert Group Review Panel on GEF International Waters Project within the NEPAD Environmental Action Plan in collaboration with UNIDO (PTC/ECB) Vienna, Austria; IMO International Regional Expert on Coastal and Marine Environment in West Africa in support of the Glo-Ballast Partnership Programs under the auspices of Guinea Current Large Marine Ecosystem (GCLME); UNIDO International Regional Expert on Integrated Coastal Management on Building Capacity for the implementation of Integrated Coastal Management in Africa in support of the NEPAD Environmental Action Plan and GEF/LME Projects under the auspices of Guinea Current Large Marine Ecosystem (GCLME)
Chukwu is widely travelled and happily married with children. He is a member of the following professional associations: Science Association of Nigeria (SAN); Nigerian Environmental Society (NES); Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN); Nigerian Association for Aquatic Sciences (NAAS); International Water Association (IWA) UK
Mr. Sanni graduated from the University of Lagos with First Class Honors Degree in Accounting in 1980 and holds an MBA degree in Business Administration from the same University. He has to his credit a number of academic achievements including Dean’s Prize Faculty of Business Administration, University of Lagos in 1978/79 session.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA), United Kingdom and a fellow of Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria (FCTI). He has attended several senior executive programs including, Senior Bankers Program at the Manchester Business School, Advanced Management Program at the Lagos Business School, Harvard Business School, among others.
A seasoned management Consultant, Accountant and Banker, Mr. Sanni has held senior management positions in Banking, Consulting and Professional Accounting firms. He was a manager in the Accounting and Audit practice of Arthur Andersen, Nigeria, before going into banking, where he served at top levels over a period of seven years. He returned to Arthur Andersen in 1996, as a Senior Manager in its Tax and Regulatory practice and became a Partner and head of the unit in 1998. Arthur Andersen Nigeria transformed into KPMG Professional Services in 2002 and he held the position of Partner and head of Tax, Regulatory and People Services Division, until he assumed his current position of Chief Operating Officer/Partner in 2008.
He is happily married with children.
Mrs. Shirley Bassey is a psychologist and philanthropist. She holds a B.Sc. honors degree in Psychology from the University of Ife (now, Obafemi Awolowo University), Nigeria. She has over 25 years post-qualification exposure in family counseling, and child psychology. A care-giver, Bassey has exceptional passion for the welfare of the less privileged.
She serves on the board of directors of some other organizations including the PELSEY-PBTG Group. Mrs. Bassey is happily married and blessed with children.
Sir. Nnamdi Cyril Oyeka graduated from the University of Nigeria with B.Sc. (Hons) Accountancy in 1972. A renowned and highly respected accountant, Sir. Oyeka is a fellow of several professional accounting bodies including Association of Certified Accountant (England &Wales), 1977; Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), 1978; Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACIT), 1992.
With over 40 years post-qualification experience, Sir Oyeka has had varied exposure in diverse organizations including United Bank of Africa Limited, Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young), Gicen Technical Services Limited, Cynd Investments Limited, etc.
He has served on the Council of the Board of Appeal Commissioners of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, as a member. He is on the Board of Nigerian Ropes Plc and serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and Diamond Bank Plc. He is also the Chairman of Alor Microfinance Bank Limited and the Managing Partner of Allata, Nzewi Oyeka & Co, one of the leading professional accounting firms in Nigeria.
Sotonye Chinwendu Akujobi was born on January 29, 1960 in Rivers State of Nigeria and had her secondary education at Ovim Girls Secondary School in Abia State and latter obtained her BSc. in Business Education from the Rivers state University of Science and Technology in 1985.
She worked as an Investment Officer with Pabod Finance and Investment Limited for five years from 1986 to 1990 before establishing her fashion design business.
She is also a Director of Dasot Nigeria Limited. Mrs. Akujobi was involved in the accident that claimed the life of her son. She miraculously survived the injuries sustained from the effects of the accident. She is passionate about providing hope and caring for the less privileged in the society and works closely with the Foundation to achieve this aim.
Dan Akujobi is a graduate of accounting from the University of Lagos and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the same University. Hei is an Alumnus of some of the world’s best business schools including Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania, USA; Manchester Business School; United Kingdom and International Institute for Management Development (IMD); Lausanne, Switzerland.
A Federal Government Merit Award Scholar during his undergraduate education, he qualified as a professional Accountant in 1981 and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom; Global Chartered Management Accountants, and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
A seasoned Banker, well-bred Accountant and Management Consultant. Mr. Akujobi has attended several international training programs in banking, general management and consulting organized by leading international institutions including Chase Manhattan Bank NY, Citibank NY, Booz Allen, etc.
With over 34 years post qualification hands-on experience, he started his professional career with Akintola Williams & Co. in 1980 (now Akintola Williams Deloitte & Touché) and thereafter worked with various organizations including; Mobil Producing Nigeria, AW Consultants Ltd, ABC Merchant Bank, Sona Diaries Limited, Afribank Nigeria Plc, Allied Bank of Nigeria Plc and Diamond Bank Plc where he held senior management positions notably; Consultant, Chief Accountant, Financial Controller, Chief Inspector, Chief Credit Officer, etc.
He was an Executive Director with Diamond Bank Plc until 2004 when he retired from the bank. Mr. Akujobi served on the Board of some Institutions including: ACB International Bank Plc, Diamond Securities Ltd, Lynac Securities Ltd, etc.
He currently serves on the Board of ARM Pension Managers Limited, Diamond Bank du Benin and Chikum Microfinance Bank Ltd.
Luke Okwuchukwu Okonkwo is the Managing Director and Chief Executive of Trusthouse Investments Limited, a stockbrokerage firm registered by Securities and Exchange Commission as a Broker/Dealer and licensed by The Nigerian Stock Exchange as a Dealing member of the Exchange.
Until February, 1992, he was the Managing Director /Chief Executive, Nigeria Merchant Bank Plc. Okonkwo had also held the position of Chairman, Sunrise Flour Mills Limited, Emene, Enugu State. He has also served on the Council of The Nigerian Stock Exchange, Executive Committee of Association of Stockbroking Houses of Nigeria and the Finance Committee of the Bureau of Public Enterprises.
He graduated from University of Lagos in 1977 and had his MBA Degree from the same University in 1986. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and has attended several courses within and outside Nigeria. He is married with children.
