DOAMF recently made a visit to Destitute Home, Alimosho, Lagos donating essential food and domestic items with medical supplies to alleviate some of the ripple effect of the lockdown measures on the home. DOAMF has ensured to strategize different approaches to mitigate the challenges currently encountered by the COVID-19 pandemic. DOAMF will continue to donate relief materials to stem urgent medical needs and help the financially vulnerable access food and social services with the support of kind individuals and corporate Organizations.

DOAM Foundation commemorates May 27 Nigerian children’s Day with a 2-days de-worming and vitamins supplement program for less privileged children in Lagos (Out of School Children Center, Oshodi and Magnificent Therapy Center & Home for Children, Yaba) and Ogun State (Christ the Light of Hope Orphanage Home, Akute). This was an intervention program aimed at combating intestinal worms, building strong immune system, creating awareness on proper hand washing and hygiene practices to fight diseases including the novel, COVID-19. Also donations ranging from food & body care items to cleaning agents, disinfectants, and face masks were distributed to cater to their welfare.

DOAMF Donates Hand wash facilities to Asejere Market, Makoko In combating the novel Covid-19, W.H.O. recommends that universal access to hand hygiene facilities be provided in front of all public buildings and transport hubs including markets, shops, places of worship, schools and train/bus stations. In a bid to support the government by creating awareness and access to regular & proper hand washing, DOAMF donated hand wash facilities equipped with hygiene kits including sanitizers, liquid soap, face masks, etc. to Asejere Market, Makoko, a popular market in the heart of Makoko, Yaba- Lagos on July 8, 2020. In addition, DOAMF also donated palliatives to the Association of Working Children and Youths (AWCY), catering to their welfare during this challenging period.
